Bhutan Currency
Bhutanese currency is Ngultrum (Nu.) and is officially at par with Indian Rupee. Also Indian Rupee is acceptable all over Bhutan except Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.
Credit Cards are accepted in some luxury hotels and few selected stores.
Cash and Travelers Cheques exchange is available in the banks and some Foreign Currency Exchange agencies for most of the main currencies like the US dollar, Euro, Japanese Yen, Thai Baht, Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, Hong Kong dollar, Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, Singapore dollar, Danish kroner, Norwegian kroner, and Swedish kroner.
