Bhutan is marked by raw natural beauty where the dense foliage changes dramatically as sub tropical jungles at the sea level merge into a fertile temperate zone and rise up to the great northern glaciers. This pristine environment is home to exotic wildlife and is home for endangered species like the Black Necked Crane, the Blue Sheep and Golden Langur. There are more than 5,500 species of vascular plants, more than 770 species of avifauna and more than 165 species of mammals many of them endemic to Bhutan. The easiest way for visitors to enter Bhutan is by air. Druk Air – Royal Bhutan Airlines is Bhutan’s national carrier and the only airline operating in Bhutan. Druk Air ‘s fleet consists of two modern Airbus A319 which are perfectly designed and crafted for high altitude landings and take offs. The pilots are especially trained and internationally licensed for mountain flying. Druk air has an impeccable safety record, without a single mishap since its inception in 1983.
Its been a whole one month since we came back from Bhutan and we still can not stop raving about our wonderful experiences there, to our friends. These days, our greetings start with Kuzuzangpola and end with Tashi Delek.
And so we would like to thank you for making our stay in Bhutan delightful and memorable. We feel lucky to have had the chance of your company during the whole tour. We appreciate your deep knowledge about Bhutan’s past and present, people, culture and ofcourse the royal family. It helped us realize how close our countries are, not just geographically but in so many other ways. We came back home feeling proud of the strong Indian-Bhutanese relations. Read more…
I met Kunzang, the owner of Mysterious Bhutan while I was working in Thimphu as an expat. Together with my girlfriend, we booked a 1 week trip with Mysterious Bhutan and I had a great time with Kunzang.
He is very knowledgeable and an educated person (with very good English skills which is not standard among Bhutanese guides). The trip was tailored to our needs and we experienced some of the real Bhutan (most tourists don’t when travelling in coaches and hopping from one mainstream monastery to the next).
All in all, parts of the trip were pretty adventurous – just like Bhutan. (Source: LoneyPlanet.com)
Bhutan is a wonderful country and what the most important in this country live great people! I want to say a big thank you to our guide – Kunzang, director of the company Mysterious Bhutan Tours & Adventures with whom we traveled to Bhutan.
Kunzang loves and knows the history of his country and told us a lot of about her. He maked maximum comfort for us throughout our interesting trip. All 3* hotels (we had “economy tour” ) were very clean, with amazing stuff, with hot water and WiFi. But 4* and 5* hotels and resorts where sometimes Kunzang could settle us were gorgeous!
